'Renoir Peonies' Velvet Fabric (Atelier Rouge)
Developed from an 1880 oil painting of peonies, the design translates late 19th century French Impressionist painting into an immersive, large-scale repeat. Rich reds and soft pinks emerge from a deep, atmospheric ground, with touches of blue shadow adding depth and movement to the composition. The original impasto technique - with its layered paint, visible brushstrokes and shifting density - has been carefully preserved. Reimagined as a repeating pattern, the composition forms an enveloping, continuous field of blossoms, creating the impression of an endless peony garden. The design is available printed on soft velvet, a medium-weight fabric with a short pile that is versatile across a range of soft furnishing applications, including upholstery.
