Rambling Rose Wallpaper
Developed from a 19th century French botanical engraving depicting Rosa multiflora, a delicate climbing rose species native to East Asia. The original illustration has been reimagined into a large-scale trailing composition, where gently curving stems form a loose, meandering floral rhythm. Inspired by the flowing branchwork of traditional Chinoiserie murals, the design features soft clusters of blush-pink blooms and fresh green foliage set against a crisp white ground. The spaced layout gives the pattern a light, airy quality, balancing botanical precision with decorative movement. Designed to run uninterrupted across the roll with a free (random) match, the wallpaper creates a natural, non-repeating effect reminiscent of hand-painted murals. It also lends itself beautifully to panelled applications - framing doors, windows or furniture - where the trailing branches can be used compositionally within a space.
