Developed from a 19th century Persian velvet panel woven in Kashan - one of the historic centres of luxury velvet production - the design features an elegant teardrop motif in rich raspberry red and antique gold. A decorative geometric border runs along both sides making an ideal trim for curtains, bed throws etc. The colour palette and imperfect hand-made character of the original antique have been retained and enhanced by the textured velvety fabric the design is printed on. The thick, deep pile chenille is hardwearing and durable - ideal for upholstery and soft furnishings that are subjected to heavy use.
