Developed from a hand-painted Dutch majolica tile panel dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, the design features finely detailed octagonal blue and white figurative landscapes set against a speckled manganese ground and finished with rosette corners. The historic manganese purple - a soft, earthy tone characteristic of early Dutch tilework - adds warmth and depth to the crisp blue and white scenes, allowing the pattern to feel equally at home beyond traditional tiled settings, from living rooms to dining rooms.
